Chairman, Board of Directors PCP
President, Aga Khan University has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota and a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa from McMaster University, Canada. During a distinguished professional career with the Aga Khan Development Network of over four decades, he has been the Managing Director of the Industrial Promotion Services, Pakistan and has also served on the boards of several governmental, professional and research organisations, including the Pakistan Medical Research Council. He received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 1998, the Hilal-e-Imtiaz in 2002 and the award of Officier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (Officer in the French National Order of Merit), from President Jacques Chirac of France, in recognition of his “tireless and fruitful contribution in the service of Pakistan and in the field of education”.




Syed Babar Ali

Syed Babar Ali
Pro-Chancellor, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and Advisor, Packages Limited has an Advanced Management Degree from Harvard University and a USA Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws from Mc Gill University, Canada. He has served on the boards of several leading academic institutions and a number of Pakistani and multi-national companies and nonprofit organisations, both local and international. During the course of his illustrious career he has earned several international honours including the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Her Majesty The Queen of The United Kingdom, (October 10,1997), Commander of the Order of the Golden Ark by His Royal Highness Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands (June 1986), Commander of the Royal Order of the Polar Star by H.M. The King of Sweden (1984) and Knight of the Royal Order of Vasa, First Class by H.M. The King of Sweden, (1972).

Mr. Shoaib Sultan Khan

Mr. Shoaib Sultan Khan
Chairman, National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) has a Master of Arts in English from Lucknow University, a Bachelor of Law from Peshawar University and has also completed a Public Administration Course at the University of Cambridge, UK. He is currently serving as Honorary Chairman, Board of Directors of the NRSP, Ghazi Bharotha Development Organization (GBTI) and Director of the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP). As Senior Advisor, South Asia Poverty Alleviation Programme (SAPAP) of the UNDP, Mr. Khan has set up demonstration pilots in the six countries of the SAARC region, on the pattern of the AKRSP. He has also received the Global 500 award in 1989), the Sitara-e- Imtiaz in 1990, the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 1992 and the WWF Conservation Medal in 1994.

Former Secretary General, Finance & Economic Affairs, Government of Pakistan has an M.A in philosophy, political science and economics from Oxford University, UK. He joined the Civil Service of Pakistan in 1964 and until his early retirement held a number of important positions. He served as Health Secretary in Islamabad (1995-1996), as Finance Secretary in the Government of Pakistan (1996-1998) and also held various positions with the provincial Governments of Punjab, Baluchistan and in East Pakistan. 




Dr. Attiya Inayatullah

Member, National Assembly and Former Federal Minister for Women Development, Special Education, Social Welfare and Population Welfare has an MA Degree in International Relations and Sociology from Boston University, USA, a PhD in Sociology and Anthropology and a diploma in Population Dynamics and Economic Development from the University of Sussex, U.K. She served as Federal Minister for Women Development, Social Welfare, Special education and Population Welfare in the Government of Pakistan (1999- 2002) and as the elected Chairperson of UNESCO (1993- 1995). She has received the United Nations Ceres Award, Human Rights Gold Medal by Human Rights Society of Pakistan (1994) and the Jean Harris Global Award by Rotary International (1999).

Senior Partner, M/s Orr, Dignam & Co. and Former Chairman, Aga Khan Foundation (Pakistan) has a B.A. (Mod.) and an L.L.B from Dublin. He has served as a non- executive Director of ICI Pakistan Limited, as a Member of the Pakistan Advisory Committee of the HSBC Bank and as a Director of many non-profit organizations. For over 15 years he has been associated with the Aga Khan Foundation (Pakistan), during which he incorporated the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme and served as its Vice Chairman for over 10 years.

Chairperson, Sarhad Rural Support Programme has been a Member of the Syndicate, Agriculture University of Peshawar and the President, Pakistan Foreign Office Wives Association. She also has to her credit the establishment and administration of All Pakistan Women Association (APWA) School, Islamabad. 




Mr. Saeed Ahmed Qureshi

President, Pakistan Economic Forum and Former Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission, Government of Pakistan has a Masters in Economics from The Punjab University and a diploma in Public Administration from Oxford University, UK. Currently he is the Chairman Educational Foundation, Islamabad; Director Pakistan Credit Rating Agency and Member of the Governing Board of the Social Policy and Development Centre, Karachi. His past assignments include: Chairman Committee on Decentralization to Local Bodies (Punjab Government); Chairman Task Force on Discretionary Powers (Pakistan Government), Chairman Tax Reform Commission (Pakistan Government).  He also has to his credit various publications on education, rural finance for growth and poverty alleviation.

Chief Executive and Editor, Daily Business Recorder holds a degree of BS Mechanical Engineering (USA) and is a founding member of the Board of Directors, Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP). He has been the member of numerous committees of the All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS) and has also served as its Honorary Secretary General and vice president.

Chairman and Chief Executive Arif Habib Securities Limited is also the Chairman of Arif Habib Investment Management and the manager of the two open ended Mutual Funds namely Pakistan Stock Market Fund and Pakistan Income Fund. He was the Founder Chairman of the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited and also served as the Chairman of the Karachi Stock Exchange for five terms.

An MBA from Cranfield UK, joined Shell Malaysia Trading in 1990 as Project Manager, Marketing Systems. He served in various positions in Marketing, Operations and Retail with Shell Malaysia Trading. He has also served as GM Retail Sales and Operations in Shell Oman from ’99 to ’02. He moved to Shell Pakistan Limited in ’03 as GM Retail Sales and Operations and has been serving as Chairman of Shell Companies in Pakistan and as Managing Director for Shell Pakistan Limited since September 2006.

Mr. Zaffar A. Khan graduated as a mechanical engineer in 1967 and soon thereafter joined Esso /Exxon Chemical which following an employee led buyout became Engro Chemical in Pakistan. He retired from the Company in 2004 after serving for 35 years the last 6 of which were as President & CEO. During the early years of his career he served Exxon Chemical for 10 years in Hong Kong, Singapore and USA in the petrochemical business.  He has done an Advanced Management Program from the University of Hawaii and has attended short courses at INSEAD and the Harvard Business School.  

Mr. Zaffar Khan has served on a number of diverse boards both in the private and public sector some of which he has Chaired. These include the Pakistan Telecommunications Co, the Karachi Stock Exchange and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Mr. Zaffar Khan has also served as President of the Overseas Chamber of Commerce and Industry and on several Committees of the Government of Pakistan in an advisory capacity. 

Mr. Zaffar Khan has been associated with the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy since it's inception and is currently serving on the Board of Directors. 

The President of Pakistan conferred the Sitara e Imtiaz (A civil award ) on Mr. Khan.
