The Synthesis Report on Corporate Philanthropy in Pakistan is based on survey data available for the last 15 years, from 2000 to 2014. The report evaluates the pattern of philanthropic contribution of Public Listed Companies (PLCs) in the country and highlights the notable changes and trends. The survey report further evaluates the total giving's of PLCs for the year 2014.
With publishing of this report PCP celebrates first decade of successfully documenting corporate giving in Pakistan. Like other reports in the sequel this survey also estimates the volume of philanthropy by the corporate sector and also examines trends and patterns in this activity.
This year, data was collected from Unlisted as well as Public Listed Companies to encompass a larger portion of the corporate world. This survey report gives an estimate of the total volume of spending together with examining the trends and patterns of the same.
Corporate Philanthropy Survey – 2001, in line with PCP’s mission to increase the volume and effectiveness of philanthropy in Pakistan, documents giving amount by public listed companies in the country. It also examines trends and patterns in giving by PLCs.
Corporate Philanthropy in Pakistan 2009: a survey of public listed companies by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy investigates the philanthropic giving by public listed companies in Pakistan.
The report is fifth in the series of Corporate Philanthropy Surveys pioneered by PCP. Just like other surveys in previous years CPS-2008 aims at estimating the volume of corporate giving and at the same time examining the trends and patterns in that activity.
The survey is fourth building block in the series of corporate philanthropy research which focuses on Public Listed Companies (PLCs). Besides giving the estimated volume of giving by business sector, the survey examines the nature, dimensions and pattern as well.
As a sequel to the previous reports Corporate Philanthropy Survey 2006 looks at the volume of giving by the corporate sector of the country as well as the trends and patterns of that giving.
Corporate Philanthropy Survey (2004 – 2005) builds on a report published by PCP on the same subject in preceding year. In addition to estimate the volume of corporate philanthropy in Pakistan, this report aimed at looking into the trends and patterns over a 6 year period.
The study builds on the two previous seminal research studies – Dimension of Individual Giving and Survey of Corporate Philanthropy – conducted by the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). The objective of the research which is first of its kind by PCP is to estimate the volume of corporate giving in Pakistan and to examine it patterns.
